Key takeaways
- Teeinblue names Prodigi and Printify among its integrations; both say they print in the UK. Customily names Printify, Zepto names Gelato and Printful.
- Every app here bills in US dollars, so the pound cost of a plan moves with the exchange rate.
- Teeinblue and Customily charge $49 a month plus a fee per item that falls as sales grow; Zakeke takes a percentage per sale.
- Showing prices with VAT included is a store setting in Shopify and WooCommerce, not a customizer feature.
- Printcart, our product, gives print-ready files but names no POD provider integration on its app pages.

What are the best product customizer apps for UK print-on-demand sellers?
For a UK print-on-demand seller on Shopify, the best customizer app is one that passes orders to a provider printing in the UK and prints the customer's design without rework. Teeinblue names Prodigi and Printify, both of which say they print in the UK, and Customily names Printify. Zakeke adds 3D, Zepto Product Personalizer has the lowest entry price, and Printcart, our product, gives print-ready files but names no POD provider integration.
We compared Teeinblue, Customily, Zakeke, Zepto Product Personalizer and Printcart on five criteria that decide what a UK seller pays and where the order is printed: the print-on-demand providers each app names, the entry plan with its fees and limits, the free plan or trial, print files and customer upload, and the currency of the bill. Every competitor statement links to the vendor's own pricing page or Shopify App Store listing, checked on 26 October 2026.
Printcart is our product: this site, solution.printcart.com, is run by Netbase JSC, the company behind Printcart, and the Printcart apps live on www.printcart.com. Printcart is held to the same criteria and its limits are listed, including the one that matters most here: its app pages name no ready connection to a print-on-demand provider.
Which UK print-on-demand providers do the apps connect to?
Teeinblue's Shopify listing names Prodigi and Printify among its print-on-demand integrations, alongside Printful, Gelato and others, and Customily's listing names Printify, Printful and Gelato among its own. Zepto Product Personalizer's listing names Gelato, Printful and ShineOn, and Zakeke's listing names CustomCat and Printful among the apps it works with, as of 26 October 2026.
A named integration does not say where the order is printed. For UK production, check the provider's own pages. Three of them state it today:
| Provider | Production in the UK, on its own site | Store platforms it names | Customizer apps here that name it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prodigi | "Our in-house manufacturing facilities are located in the UK, the US and mainland Europe" (about) | Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, BigCommerce (home page) | Teeinblue |
| Printify | A network of UK-based print-on-demand fulfilment centres (UK page) | Shopify, Etsy, Wix "or other major platforms" | Teeinblue, Customily |
| Inkthreadable | "All products are printed and packed in the UK. Never rerouted." (home page) | Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Order Desk, Big Cartel, Wix, Squarespace | None of the five |
Gelato and Printful are named by several apps, but we could not read a current statement of UK production on their own sites on 26 October 2026, so they are left out of this table. Ask any provider which of its products are printed in the UK: a provider with a UK site may still print some products elsewhere.
What do the apps cost a UK seller?
Every app here bills in US dollars: the Shopify App Store listings of Teeinblue, Customily, Zakeke and Zepto each say "All charges are billed in USD", and Printcart's store-plans page lists its prices in dollars. The pound cost of each plan therefore moves with the exchange rate, and fees per item or per sale come on top.
| App and entry plan | Price | Fee per item or sale | Limits on the plan | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Teeinblue Blue | $49/month | None on the first 100 orders a month; $0.40 per item for 101-1,000 orders, $0.20 for 1,001-10,000, $0.10 above | Unlimited stores, options and products | Teeinblue pricing, listing |
| Customily Plan | $49/month | $1 per item for items 1-100, $0.50 for 101-1,000, $0.25 for 1,001-10,000, $0.10 above | Unlimited stores, options and products | Customily pricing, listing |
| Zakeke Starter | $69.90/month or $712.98/year | 1.9% on products sold via Zakeke (minimum 2 cents) | Up to 10 published products; "Powered by Zakeke" label | Zakeke listing |
| Zepto Starter | $9.99/month | None printed on the plan card | 100 custom orders a month; 10 files of 10 MB per upload | Zepto listing |
| Printcart Premium | $49/month or $299/year | None printed on the plan card | Up to 100 products with the public designer; 500 order-upload file downloads a month | Printcart store plans |
Prices as of 26 October 2026. The Shopify listings bill recurring and usage-based charges every 30 days. Teeinblue counts its tiers in orders and Customily in items sold, and Customily says its fee applies per unique personalized item sold, so the two fee ladders are not directly comparable at the same volume.

Billed yearly, Zakeke Starter is $712.98 and Printcart Premium $299.
How do you show VAT-inclusive prices in pounds?
Showing prices with VAT included, in pounds, is a setting of your store platform, not of the customizer app. Shopify's tax-inclusive pricing lets you include or exclude taxes in product prices for each market, and says customers in the United Kingdom expect prices inclusive of their local VAT. Check the price the customizer adds for an option shows the same way.
In WooCommerce, the prices entered with tax setting decides whether you type prices with or without tax. WooCommerce's own example is a UK store with a 20% rate: to sell a product at £9.99 including tax, choose to enter prices inclusive of tax and enter £9.99. Its documentation warns that mixing the three tax display settings can cause unexpected rounding.
For payouts, Shopify's supported payout currencies list GBP as the default for stores in the United Kingdom. Shopify's UK tax page adds that a UK business selling to EU countries needs to register with their tax authorities for a VAT number. Ask an accountant how VAT applies to your products; the app fees in dollars are a separate cost.
Which app fits which UK print-on-demand seller?
The right app depends on where your orders are printed. A seller who wants Prodigi or Printify to print in the UK can start with Teeinblue, whose listing names both; a seller already on Printify, Printful or Gelato can add Customily; Zakeke fits products that need 3D or virtual try-on; and Zepto fits a small catalogue on a tight budget.
Printcart fits a different UK seller: a print shop or brand that prints its own orders, or works with its own print partner, and wants a product designer that sends print-ready files with every order. Printcart's apps cover Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix, and the Printcart Cloud Print API can pass orders to automated fulfillment. Our guide to an online product designer with print-ready PDF output shows that set-up step by step.
For a broader view of Shopify apps, see the Shopify product customizer comparison, and for the provider side, Printful, Printify, Gelato or your own web-to-print store. A UK seller that wants the whole store built can start from the Shopify T-shirt store; the full-store packages start at USD 799 a year.
What should you check before you choose?
Install the app on a development store or trial first, connect the provider you plan to use, and place a test order with a design to see where it is printed and what file arrives. Then check the plan's caps and fees against your monthly orders, and set your store to show prices with VAT included before you launch.
Confirm current prices, fees and provider lists on each vendor's own page before you commit; they change, and this article was checked on 26 October 2026. If you move from one customizer to another later, Printcart's migration service covers stores leaving Customily, Zakeke, Teeinblue, Kickflip or a custom build.
Which one fits which business?
Teeinblue
Teeinblue fits UK sellers who want to send orders to Prodigi or Printify from Shopify and who start under 100 orders a month, when no transaction fee applies.[4][5]

Zakeke fits sellers who need 3D, AR or virtual try-on and send orders to CustomCat or Printful.[8]

Frequently asked questions
Which customizer apps connect to UK print-on-demand providers?
Teeinblue's Shopify listing names Prodigi and Printify among its integrations, and Customily's names Printify. Prodigi says its in-house manufacturing is in the UK, the US and mainland Europe, and Printify says it has a network of UK-based print-on-demand fulfilment centres, as of 26 October 2026.[4][6][11][12]
Do Shopify customizer apps charge in pounds?
No. The Shopify App Store listings of Teeinblue, Customily, Zakeke and Zepto Product Personalizer each say all charges are billed in USD, and Printcart's store-plans page lists its prices in US dollars, so the cost in pounds changes with the exchange rate.[4][6][8][9][3]
How do I show prices with VAT included to UK customers?
Use your store's tax settings. Shopify's tax-inclusive pricing lets you include tax in product prices per market and names the United Kingdom as a region whose customers expect VAT-inclusive prices; in WooCommerce, the prices entered with tax setting lets you enter a price such as £9.99 including 20% VAT.[14][17]
Which app has the lowest fees for a small UK print-on-demand shop?
On the plan cards, Zepto Product Personalizer Starter is $9.99 a month with 100 custom orders a month and no per-sale fee printed. Teeinblue charges no transaction fee on the first 100 orders a month on its $49 plan, while Customily charges $1 per item for the first 100 items sold, as of 26 October 2026.[9][4][5][7]
Can I use Printcart for print-on-demand in the UK?
Printcart's Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix apps give customers a product designer and give you print-ready SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG files with each order. Its app pages name no ready connection to a print-on-demand provider, so orders go to your own production or through the Printcart Cloud Print API.[1][2]
