How did we compare these apps?

We checked Printcart, Zakeke, Customily, Teeinblue and Inkybay on the same seven criteria: supported platforms, print files produced, entry price and per-sale fee, free plan or trial, customer artwork upload, API access and support. Every statement about a competitor links to the page it came from, the vendor's own Shopify App Store listing or its own site, and was checked on 26 October 2026; anything we could not read there that day was left out.

Printcart is our product: this site, solution.printcart.com, is run by Netbase JSC, the company behind Printcart, and the Printcart apps themselves live on www.printcart.com. We hold Printcart to the same seven criteria, cite its own pages for every Printcart fact, and say below where another app fits better.

The apps run on top of Shopify, so the platform's own plan and fees come first; our comparison of ecommerce platforms for print businesses covers that layer. The same kind of comparison exists for WooCommerce product designer plugins and Wix product personalizer apps.

Which criteria matter when you choose a Shopify customizer?

A Shopify customizer decides what arrives with each order, so print files and customer upload matter first: the order should carry a file the press can use, not a screenshot. Price matters next, and on Shopify it has two parts, the monthly plan and a fee per sale or per order item that grows with volume. Platforms, API and support decide how far the app scales with you.

Print files are the output of the whole process. An online product designer lets the customer place text and images on the product; what reaches production is the file it generates, so check the formats each app names against what your printer or print-on-demand partner accepts. Printcart's print-ready files come in SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG.

Customer upload matters for products where the customer brings the artwork, such as photo gifts, logos on apparel or a finished business card. All five apps list it, so the question is what the upload checks: file types, size and resolution. Printcart's artwork upload lets the merchant set those limits per product.

The per-sale fee changes the ranking as orders grow. A flat plan costs the same at 10 or 1,000 orders a month, while a fee per order item or a percentage of each sale adds a cost to every order. The 12-month table below shows the fixed part; add the fee at your own order volume.

What does Printcart offer for Shopify product customization?

Printcart's Shopify app works with the Shopify Admin and the Shopify API and produces print-ready files in SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG. Buyers personalize items with templates, text and image uploads on any device, and the app page describes it as built for print shops, print-on-demand sellers and B2B suppliers. The Printcart API gives access to order and design data for connecting a CRM or ERP.

The same product designer comes as separate apps for other platforms: Printcart Store for WooCommerce, installed from WordPress.org, adds a drag-and-drop designer and customer artwork upload and gives print-ready files in PDF, SVG, PNG and JPG CMYK, and the Printcart app for Wix does the same for Wix Stores.

Printcart's store plans list a Free plan, with an online designer on the storefront, limited products and storage, CMYK print-ready export and community support, and a Premium plan with up to 100 products with the public designer, 500 order-upload file downloads per month and priority support; the prices are on that page. Questions can also go to support@printcart.com or a ticket from the Printcart Dashboard.

For stores moving from another customizer, Printcart runs a migration service from Zakeke, Customily, Teeinblue or Inkybay.

What does Zakeke offer on Shopify?

Zakeke's Shopify listing gives the Starter plan at $69.90/month, or $712.98/year, plus a 1.9% transaction fee on products sold via Zakeke (minimum 2 cents), with up to 10 published products, as of 26 October 2026. The listing describes automatic print-ready files for every order, for print, engraving, laser cut and more, and lists file upload among the customization features.

Zakeke lists integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, OpenCart, Etsy, Shopwired, Shopware and Amazon; its pricing page sells extra sales channels as a $49.90 add-on on the Grow and Scale plans, not included on Starter. The free plan is for development stores only, and paid plans carry a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Zakeke documents a RESTful API. The pricing page lists customer support via email from the Starter plan and a dedicated account manager on Enterprise. Print shops weighing Zakeke against Printcart, Customily, Inkybay and Kickflip can read Zakeke alternatives for print shops, which also says when Zakeke fits better; sellers of personalized gifts and print-on-demand products can read Zakeke alternatives for product customization.

What does Customily offer on Shopify?

Customily's Shopify listing gives the Customily plan at $49/month, billed every 30 days, plus a $0.10 to $1 transaction fee per order item, as of 26 October 2026. The listing describes automatic file generation (multi format) and export of ready-to-print, engrave or laser-cut files, and custom file upload of PNG, JPEG, PSD and PDF files with crop and rotate.

Customily says it works with Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, WooCommerce and Shoplazza. The free plan is for development stores only, and the 9-day free trial gives full access to all features. Customily lists API connections with print-on-demand providers and more, and its site links to technical documentation on GitHub. Its listing names live chat, onboarding calls and training.

What does Teeinblue offer on Shopify?

Teeinblue's Shopify listing gives the Blue plan at $49/month, plus a $0.10 to $0.40 transaction fee per order item, with no transaction fee on the first 100 orders a month, as of 26 October 2026. Teeinblue auto-generates production files, personalized orders can be sent to print-on-demand services, and customers can upload photos alongside text and clipart.

Besides Shopify, Teeinblue's pricing page lists Etsy, and Teeinblue Boundless for WooCommerce, Magento, Shopline and more. Sellers weighing a print-on-demand creator platform against their own Shopify store can read the Teespring business model. The free plan is for development stores only, with a 14-day trial on paid plans, and the Blue plan includes API access. The listing links an FAQ, a Tutorial and App Documentation, and names free live training and dedicated support on the Blue plan. Customily vs Teeinblue vs Printcart compares the two apps head to head by type of shop.

What does Inkybay offer on Shopify?

Inkybay's Shopify listing gives the Starter plan at $19.99/month, with 0% commission, 10 custom products, 30 custom orders per month, 5 GB storage and up to 2 print sides, as of 26 October 2026. The listing describes print-ready files in PDF, SVG, JPG and PNG, says customers can upload their own images, and gives each listed plan a 21-day free trial.

Inkybay installs from the Shopify or BigCommerce app store. The listing names an Order add-on (bulk download, Order API) on the Unlimited plan, and Inkybay's site calls it a "free order add-on". Support is by email or ticket on Starter, with live support from the Advance plan up.

Customily vs Zakeke vs Teeinblue: which is best for personalized products?

No one of the three is best for every personalized-product store; the right choice follows the product and the order volume. Zakeke fits stores that want a 3D configurator, AR viewer or virtual try-on beside the 2D customizer. Customily and Teeinblue fit print-on-demand and gift sellers who pass orders to print-on-demand providers, and both charge a fee per order item rather than a percentage of the sale.

The price model is the clearest difference. Zakeke adds a percentage of each custom product sale to its monthly plan, while Customily and Teeinblue add a fixed amount per order item that falls as volume grows, and Teeinblue charges no item fee on the first 100 orders a month; the 12-month table below gives each entry plan with its fee and limits. Zakeke Starter is also the only one of the three with a product cap, up to 10 published products, per its Shopify listing.

Reach is the second difference. Customily works with Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, WooCommerce and Shoplazza; Teeinblue lists Shopify, Etsy and its Boundless plan for other platforms; Zakeke lists the longest set of integrations, from WooCommerce and Wix to Etsy and Amazon. Customily vs Teeinblue vs Printcart compares the two print-on-demand apps head to head by type of shop.

What is the best web-to-print app for Shopify print-on-demand stores?

The best web-to-print app for a Shopify print-on-demand store is the one that delivers a usable print file to whoever prints the order. If a print-on-demand provider prints it, choose an app that names that provider: Customily, Teeinblue and Zakeke list provider connections on their Shopify listings. If you print yourself or work with your own printer, the file formats matter more than provider connections.

Customily's listing names Printify, Printful, Gelato, CustomCat, Gooten, ShineOn and others among the providers it works with; Teeinblue's listing names Printful, Printify, Gelato, Dreamship, Prodigi and others; Zakeke's listing names CustomCat, Printful and Order Desk. Inkybay's listing names print methods, such as DTF, DTG, screen print, sublimation and embroidery, which suits sellers who print in-house.

Printcart's Shopify app sends print-ready SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG files with each order, and its app page does not name print-on-demand providers. A store that needs orders and files routed to a provider without an off-the-shelf connection can have Printcart build one through the POD Provider and Fulfillment Connector service, quoted after a review of the provider's interface.

Which apps let customers personalize print-on-demand products in Shopify or WooCommerce?

Printcart, Zakeke and Customily each let customers personalize products with their own text and images on both Shopify and WooCommerce, through a separate app or plugin for each platform. Teeinblue is a Shopify app that reaches WooCommerce through Teeinblue Boundless, which its support team installs, and Inkybay installs from the Shopify or BigCommerce app store.

On WooCommerce, Printcart's plugin is Printcart Store, installed from WordPress.org; Zakeke publishes Zakeke Interactive Product Designer for WooCommerce on WordPress.org; and Customily offers a WooCommerce product personalizer plugin installed from its own site. Teeinblue Boundless asks WooCommerce users to contact its support team to install the plugin.

A WooCommerce store has more plugins to choose from than these five, including some that are not Shopify apps at all; the WooCommerce product designer comparison covers them, and the Wix comparison covers Wix Stores.

What does a year of each app's entry plan cost?

Twelve months of each competitor's entry plan, before per-sale fees, run from $239.88 for Inkybay to $838.80 for Zakeke billed monthly, as of 26 October 2026: the sums multiply the monthly price on each Shopify App Store listing by 12. Customily bills every 30 days, so 12 of its billing periods cover 360 days. Printcart's prices are on its store-plans page.

The entry plans are not equal in limits: Zakeke Starter publishes up to 10 products and Inkybay Starter allows 10 custom products and 30 custom orders per month, per their listings, so a growing store may need the next plan. A store that wants the whole Shopify store built instead can start from Printcart's Shopify print shop store or Shopify T-shirt store; the full-store packages start at USD 799 a year.

What should you check before you choose?

Before picking any of these, confirm the plan tier you actually need: the prices above are for the entry paid plans, and some features, such as Inkybay's live support and Order add-on, sit on a higher plan. Stores that need a configurator with conditional options can also compare Kickflip alternatives for Shopify. Check whether the app needs to work on a second platform besides Shopify, and run a test order on the trial to see which file reaches you.

Ask each vendor to confirm current pricing and trial terms directly, since plans change over time. To score the apps on the same points during a demo, use the product designer feature checklist.
