How did we compare Kickflip and its alternatives?
We compared Kickflip with Zakeke, Inkybay, Zepto Product Personalizer and Printcart on five criteria that decide what a Shopify store pays and what its customers can build: supported platforms, entry plan with its per-sale fee and limits, free plan or trial, option logic and price per option, and customer upload. Every competitor statement links to the vendor's own site or Shopify App Store listing, checked on 26 October 2026.
Printcart is our product: this site, solution.printcart.com, is run by Netbase JSC, the company behind Printcart, and the Printcart apps live on www.printcart.com. Printcart is held to the same criteria, its own limits are listed, and the last sections say where Kickflip fits better.
The four alternatives were picked because each sells a Shopify product customizer with public plans, and each answers a different reason to leave Kickflip: fees, 3D, option depth or print files. For sellers of personalized gifts and print-on-demand products, Zakeke alternatives for product customization covers Customily, Teeinblue and Fancy Product Designer, and the Shopify product customizer comparison covers the Shopify field as a whole.
What does Kickflip offer on Shopify?
Kickflip is a visual product configurator: customers pick colors, type a name, upload a logo or photo, and see the preview and price update as they go, as its product customizer page describes. Its Shopify listing names conditional logic, multi-component products and a different price per option.
The listing shows one Scale plan at $59 a month plus 1.95% to 0% per custom product sale, with unlimited products, page views and storage, billed every 30 days, as of 26 October 2026. Kickflip's pricing page adds two paid add-ons, white-label at $49 a month and Configure Price Quote at $99 a month, a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and a custom Enterprise plan for brands with large custom product volume.
Kickflip says it works with Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or a custom stack, and its pricing page lists print-ready files and API access among the admin features. Its product customizer page describes turning customer designs, including uploaded images and text, into high-resolution, production-ready files.
Why do Shopify stores look for a Kickflip alternative?
Shopify stores usually look for a Kickflip alternative for one of three reasons: the percentage fee on each custom product sale, a need for 3D or AR, which Zakeke names on its plans, or a lower entry price for a small catalogue. A percentage fee grows with the order value, so a store selling high-priced configured products pays more per order than one selling stickers.
The fee comes on top of the plan. Kickflip's fee runs from 1.95% down to 0% per custom product sale, and Zakeke's from 1.9% on Starter to 1.5% on Scale, per their listings (Kickflip, Zakeke). Inkybay's Starter plan lists 0% commission, and Zepto's plan cards list a monthly price with an order allowance and no per-sale fee printed.
The trade-off is limits. Kickflip lists unlimited products, while Inkybay Starter stops at 10 custom products and 30 custom orders a month and Zepto Starter at 100 custom orders a month, per their Inkybay and Zepto listings, so a growing store may need the next plan.
What do the four Kickflip alternatives offer?
The four alternatives cover the same core job, letting customers personalize a product before checkout, with different strengths. Zakeke adds 3D, AR and virtual try-on to a 2D customizer, Inkybay is built for printed products with print sides and 0% commission on Starter, Zepto focuses on product options with conditional logic, and Printcart pairs a product designer with print-ready files on three platforms.
Zakeke. Zakeke's listing names a 2D visual customizer, a 3D configurator, a 3D DAM and AR viewer and virtual try-on on every paid plan; Starter is $69.90 a month or $712.98 a year, plus a 1.9% transaction fee (minimum 2 cents), with up to 10 published products, as of 26 October 2026. Its pricing page adds pricing rules from Grow and conditional rules in the configurator from Scale.
Inkybay. Inkybay's listing gives Starter at $19.99 a month with 0% commission, 10 custom products, 30 custom orders per month, 5 GB storage and up to 2 print sides, a 21-day trial, and print-ready files in PDF, SVG, JPG and PNG, as of 26 October 2026. Its site describes extended conditional product options and live pricing.
Zepto Product Personalizer. Zepto's listing gives Starter at $9.99 a month, billed every 30 days, with 22 option types, conditional logic, price add-ons, a live visual preview, uploads of up to 10 files of 10 MB each and 100 custom orders a month, a 15-day trial and 24/7 human live chat, as of 26 October 2026. It names Gelato, Printful and ShineOn among the apps it works with.
Printcart. Printcart's apps cover Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix with an online product designer: templates, text and image uploads, and print-ready files in SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG. The store-plans page caps Premium at 100 products with the public designer and 500 order-upload file downloads a month, and lists advanced pricing options; the app pages name no AR viewer or virtual try-on.
How do the alternatives handle options, conditional logic and price per option?
Kickflip, Inkybay and Zepto Product Personalizer all name conditional logic and a price that changes with the customer's choices, so a store with layered options can rebuild them on any of the three. Zakeke reserves conditional rules in its 3D configurator for the Scale plan and adds pricing rules from Grow, and Printcart lists advanced pricing options on its Premium plan.
Option depth is where these tools differ most in practice. Kickflip builds a product from components that the customer adds, removes or customizes in the preview; Zepto counts 22 option types, from swatches and dropdowns to file upload; Inkybay adds unlimited conditional sub-options and quantity discounts, per its site. In a Printcart full store, printing options and pricing give every size, paper and quantity combination its own price.

A tool that names conditional logic may still handle a dependency differently, so rebuild your most complex product first during the trial.
What does a year of each entry plan cost?
Twelve months of each competitor's entry plan, before per-sale fees, run from $119.88 for Zepto Starter to $838.80 for Zakeke Starter billed monthly, as of 26 October 2026: the sums multiply the monthly price on each Shopify App Store listing by 12. Kickflip and Zepto bill every 30 days, so 12 of their billing periods cover 360 days. Printcart's prices are on its store-plans page.
| Tool and entry plan | 12 months, billed monthly | Billed yearly | Fee per sale | Limits on the plan | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kickflip Scale | $708 (12 × 30 days) | Not listed | 1.95% to 0% per custom product sale | Unlimited products, page views and storage | Kickflip listing |
| Zakeke Starter | $838.80 | $712.98 a year | 1.9% on products sold via Zakeke (minimum 2 cents) | Up to 10 published products | Zakeke listing |
| Inkybay Starter | $239.88 | Not listed for Starter | 0% commission | 10 custom products, 30 custom orders a month, 5 GB storage, 2 print sides | Inkybay listing |
| Zepto Starter | $119.88 (12 × 30 days) | Not listed | None printed on the plan card | 100 custom orders a month; 10 files of 10 MB per upload | Zepto listing |
The cheapest plan is not always the cheapest year. A store with 150 custom orders a month outgrows both Inkybay Starter and Zepto Starter, and their next plans cost more: Inkybay Advance is $49.99 a month with 100 custom products and 200 orders a month, and Zepto Basic is $19.99 a month with 200 custom orders a month, per their Inkybay and Zepto listings, as of 26 October 2026. A store that wants the whole shop built can start from a Shopify print shop store; the full-store packages start at USD 799 a year.

Kickflip fits better when the product is assembled from parts, such as a modular product, a bundle or a piece with swappable components, and the store wants the preview and price to follow every change with no cap on products. Its one Scale plan lists unlimited products, page views and storage, which suits a large configurable catalogue.
Kickflip also fits stores that sell beyond Shopify, since it says it works with WooCommerce, Wix or a custom stack, and stores that want customers to request quotes through its Configure Price Quote add-on. For a store that only prints flat designs on standard products, the per-sale fee and the configurator depth may matter less than files and price.
What should you check before switching from Kickflip?
Before switching, count your custom orders a month and your customizable products, then price each alternative at that volume, including the next plan up when the entry plan's order cap is below your volume. Run your most complex product on the free trial, and check the file each tool hands you against what your printer accepts.
Moving also means rebuilding options, components and pricing rules. Printcart's migration service covers stores leaving Kickflip, Customily, Zakeke or Teeinblue, and product options and pricing setup rebuilds option sets in Printcart. To score each tool on the same points during a demo, use the product designer feature checklist.
