How did we compare Zakeke and its alternatives?
We compared Zakeke with Printcart, Customily, Inkybay and Kickflip on the same seven criteria: supported platforms, 3D, AR and try-on, files for production, entry plan and per-sale fee, free plan or trial, customer artwork upload, and API access. Every competitor statement links to the vendor's own site or its Shopify App Store listing, checked on 20 October 2026; anything we could not read there that day was left out.
The four alternatives were picked because each one sells a product personalizer with a public price, which makes a like-for-like table possible. Our Shopify product customizer comparison covers the same field from the Shopify side, and the WooCommerce product designer comparison covers plugins for WordPress stores.
What does Zakeke offer a print shop?
Zakeke sells one subscription with a 2D visual customizer, a 3D configurator, a 3D and AR viewer and virtual try-on, and its Shopify listing puts all four on the Starter plan. Every order becomes a production-ready file for print, engraving or laser cutting, and customers can customize text and upload images, as Zakeke's pricing page describes.
Zakeke's pricing page lists Starter at $69.90 a month billed monthly, or $59 a month billed annually, with up to 10 published products and a 1.9% fee per custom product sale, as of 20 October 2026. Grow allows 50 products at a 1.7% fee and Scale 100 products at 1.5%; the fee is calculated per item on the price before tax and shipping, with a $0.03 minimum. Enterprise is quoted and adds a dedicated account manager.
Zakeke lists integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, OpenCart, Etsy, Shopwired, Shopware and Amazon, and documents a RESTful API for platforms its connectors do not cover.
Why do print shops look for a Zakeke alternative?
Print shops usually look for a Zakeke alternative for one of three reasons: the fee per sale, the product limit of the plan, or a feature set built around 3D and AR that a flat print catalogue does not use. A percentage fee grows with the order value, so a shop selling large-format or high-value jobs pays more per order than a shop selling stickers.
The product limit matters for print catalogues with many sizes and materials. Zakeke counts published customizable products: 10 on Starter, 50 on Grow and 100 on Scale, per its pricing page. Customily and Kickflip both list unlimited products, while Inkybay's Starter plan stops at 10 custom products and 30 custom orders a month, per its Shopify listing.
The third reason is fit. A business card or flyer printer needs a 2D online product designer, upload checks and a clean PDF more than a 3D configurator, so it compares on files and price rather than on visualisation.
What do the four Zakeke alternatives offer?
The four alternatives cover the same core job, customer personalization plus a production file, with different business models. Printcart combines apps with complete web-to-print stores, Customily focuses on marketplaces and print-on-demand automation, Inkybay on Shopify and BigCommerce printers with a 0% commission plan, and Kickflip on visual product configuration without developers.
Printcart. Printcart has apps for Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce, and Wix. Its print-ready files come in SVG, PDF, PNG and JPG, and with artwork upload the merchant sets file types, upload count, size limits and minimum DPI. Every full-store package includes 3D and wall previews of saved designs. Printcart Connect offers a REST API, webhooks and SDKs; API keys need the Advanced plan. The store-plans page lists a Free plan and the paid plan prices.
Customily. Customily's pricing page shows one plan at $49 a month per platform, plus a fee per personalized item sold that falls from $1 for the first 100 items a month to $0.10 above 10,000, as of 20 October 2026. It lists Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, WooCommerce, Shoplazza, BigCommerce, Magento and Walmart DSV on its platforms page.
Inkybay. Inkybay's listing shows Starter at $19.99 a month with 0% commission, print-ready files in PDF, SVG, JPG and PNG, and a 21-day trial, as of 20 October 2026. It names DTF, screen print, DTG, sublimation and embroidery among the print methods it supports.
Kickflip. Kickflip's listing shows one Scale plan at $59 a month plus 1.95% to 0% per custom product sale, with unlimited products and a 14-day trial, as of 20 October 2026. Its configurator page marks production-ready file generation as beta.
What does a year of each entry plan cost?
Twelve months of each entry plan, before any per-sale fee, run from $239.88 for Inkybay Starter to $838.80 for Zakeke Starter billed monthly, as of 20 October 2026. The figures multiply the monthly price on each vendor's own pricing page or Shopify listing by 12; Kickflip bills every 30 days, so its 12 billing periods cover 360 days.
| Tool and entry plan | 12 months, billed monthly | Billed yearly | Fee per sale | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zakeke Starter | $838.80 | $59 a month ($708 a year) | 1.9% per custom product sale | Zakeke pricing |
| Customily | $588 | Not listed | $1 to $0.10 per personalized item | Customily pricing |
| Inkybay Starter | $239.88 | Not listed for Starter | 0% commission | Inkybay listing |
| Kickflip Scale | $708 (12 × 30 days) | Not listed | 1.95% to 0% per custom product sale | Kickflip listing |
The fee column changes the order once sales grow. At $1 per item for its first 100 items a month, Customily's fixed fee costs more than Zakeke's 1.9% on a product under about $53, and less above it, by the arithmetic of the two pricing pages. Printcart's prices are on its store-plans page; the full-store packages start at USD 799 a year.
When does Zakeke fit better than the alternatives?
Zakeke fits better when the product needs to be seen in 3D, in a room or on the customer: its Starter plan already includes a 3D configurator, an AR viewer and virtual try-on, per its Shopify listing, and none of the four alternatives names AR or try-on on the pages we checked. Furniture, eyewear, jewellery and made-to-order goods gain the most.
Zakeke also fits a seller who wants one tool on many channels: it lists Etsy, Amazon, Salesforce and Shopware among a dozen integrations on its home page. Customily is the closest alternative on marketplaces. A shop with few, high-margin products and a low order count can also live with the 10-product Starter limit, where the percentage fee stays small in absolute terms.

Before switching, list what your Zakeke products use today: 3D models, AR links, design templates, price rules and the file format your press receives. An alternative without 3D or AR means rebuilding those products as 2D designs; templates and printing options have to be recreated in the new tool, and products moved in batches so the store keeps selling.
Run a test order on each trial and open the file that reaches you. Printcart's migration service from Zakeke rebuilds options, design areas and templates and switches products over in batches. To compare the tools on the same points during a demo, use the product designer feature checklist, and for the Customer's Canvas and Shopify personalisation side see Customer's Canvas alternatives and Customily vs Teeinblue vs Printcart.
